Road Sign - Alexanderfeld
Unknown — Socialist Modernist
Description
The entrance sign for Alexanderfeld stands on a low rectangular pedestal built from light gray cinder blocks. Above, a geometric composition features tall white metal rods arranged vertically in a narrow band. Above “1908” – likely the year of the village’s founding - a stylized crest is divided into three sections: a depiction of a local well (itself often painted to resemble a stork), yellow and blue horizontal bands, and a horse, with a wheat stalks and a Christian cross in the centre.
