Bus Stop - Ciniseuti
Unknown — 1960s-1980s
Description
The bus stop at Cinișeuți presents itself as a broad, rectilinear shelter with a long roof slab resting on nine slender columns, evenly arranged in three sets of three, in blue, yellow, and red in reference to the Moldovan national flag. The rear wall is entirely covered in Florentine-style mosaics, with large panels filled by geometric patterns reminiscent of Florentine stonework, their tessellated surfaces framed in the same pale blue tiles found across Moldova. The tesserae are the largest that I’ve seen in Moldova, with abstract motifs.
