Alexander Pushkin Theoretical High School

The Alexander Pushkin Theoretical Lyceum on Strada Independenței in Soroca occupies a long, low-slung school block of five storeys, its extended horizontal mass running the length of the street frontage. The facade is rendered in pale plaster, now heavily weathered, with a regular grid of rectangular windows divided by plain pilasters. The main entrance is marked by a shallow canopy on green columns bearing a Cyrillic welcome inscription, projecting forward from the otherwise flat facade, and indicating it's likely a Russian-language school (also given the name). The building shows significant signs of deferred maintenance, with render cracking and surface deterioration visible across the upper floors.
