Administrative Building - Tiraspol
Unknown — Stalinist Empire
Description
A Stalinist-era residential block on Pokrovskaya Street in Tiraspol, adjacent to the Gagarin mural. The building's central facade is dominated by a two-storey open loggia of five Corinthian columns supporting three round arches, set above a rusticated ground floor finished in terracotta render. The upper portion of the facade is rendered in pale yellow, with the cornice and parapet forming a clean horizontal termination above the loggia. The detailing of gilded Corinthian capitals, decorative spandrel relief between the arches, and paired pilasters flanking the loggia bay is characteristic of the Stalinist Empire style as applied to residential construction in the postwar period.
