Description
The memorial was erected on the initiative of the public organization “Chernobylites of Gagauzia.” More than three thousand residents of the Republic of Moldova (including about a hundred from Gagauzia) took part in the dramatic events of 1986, and about a third of them (1,130 people) are still alive today.
