Memorial to the 252nd Red Banner Kharkov–Bratislava Rifle Division - Ungheni

The memorial is made of vertical slab in polished red granite, topped with the Order of the Patriotic War, a Soviet military decoration featuring the hammer and sickle over a red star. The memorial reads: "252-ой Краснознаменной Харьковско-Братиславской орденов Суворова и Богдана Хмельницкого стрелковой дивизии 4-ой Гв. Армии павшим 2.VIII.1944 г.", translared in English: “To the 252nd Red Banner Kharkov–Bratislava Rifle Division, decorated with the Orders of Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky, of the 4th Guards Army, [to those] fallen on 2 August 1944.”
