Bas Relief - Central Market 2 - Balti

Like the first column, the second column in the Central Market of Balti shows four vertically arranged bas-relief panels in socialist realist style, each framed by an arched border against a pink background. The first panel presents a standing figure in profile carrying a sheaf of wheat, with stylized leaves carved below. The second shows a frontal figure holding a bundle of vegetables across the chest, wearing a rounded head covering and a long robe. The third depicts a shepherd figure in a tall cap, flanked by a cow and carrying a small goat over one shoulder. I can’t make up the fourth panel of a woman. Likely from 1967.
