Mosaic - Housing Complex #2 - Balti

On the opposite side of the same five-story Khrushchev-era residential block in Bălți, a second façade mosaic shows a partially preserved depiction of a Soviet pioneer. He stands beside a tree with round foliage, rendered in simplified linework using black tesserae. Only the upper portion of the figure remains visible. Below him, larger abstract forms in red and beige suggest the continuation of a once fuller scene, now interrupted as significant portions of the mosaic are destroyed by later additions.
