Bus Stop - Vadul Turcului North Centre
Unknown — 1960s-1980s
Description
In contrast to the other nearby shelters, this Soviet bus stop is an open canopy: two runs of corrugated asbestos carried on slender steel columns braced by splayed fans of thin rod. The structure is anchored on a pier faced in vertical strips of glazed tile in brown, cream, black and pale blue with diamond and sunburt motifs, mirroring the designs of the univermag and North End bus stop up the road towards Ukraine. Black tiles spell out the letter А is on the pier edge.
