Bas Relief - Balti

This large concrete relief in central Bălți, near the main square, features three sculptural scenes: on the left, a group of musicians playing traditional instruments; in the center, a man and woman stride forward holding a hammer and sickle; on the right, a kneeling woman with a child is followed by a muscular male figure and a woman holding books beside two stylized sunflowers. The relief is cast in textured grey concrete, integrated into the wall surface. Trees increasingly obscure the piece.
